Things to do in Turkey for next 5 days

Turkey is located in Southeastern Europe and Southwestern Asia. It is a place that is blessed with the beauty of nature. There is not a single place in the country that you won’t like. Turkey has lot of attraction places and you must add this place in your travel bucket list.

Things to do in Turkey for next 5 days:

Hagia Sophia Mosque

The Hagia Sophia Mosque is famous for its exterior as well as its interior. The Hagia Sophia contains more than 100 columns, many of which were imported from the Greek Temple of Artemis. The sheer size and scale are difficult to describe – it’s really something you’ve got to see with your own eyes! Address: Sultan Ahmet, Ayasofya Meydanı No: 1, 34122 Fatih/İstanbul, Turkey. The mosque is 24 hours open. There are 4 ways to get from Istanbul Airport (IST) to Little Hagia Sophia by taxi, car, shuttle or towncar it will take 34min and the distance from the airport is 34.3 km.

Cappadocia

Cappadocia is now a prime tourist destination and one of the best places to visit in Turkey. There are a number of underground cities in Cappadocia, some connected by a network of tunnels. Some painted figures have had their eyes scratched out by superstitious locals afraid of the Evil Eye. You can have 1-hour balloon ride and it truly was a bucket-list travel experience and one of the most awesome things to do in Cappadocia. The nearest airport to Cappadocia is Nevsehir (NAV). However, there are better options for getting to Cappadocia. MetroTurizm operates a bus from Ankara to Göreme 4 times a day and the journey takes 4h 41m.

Pamukkale

The pool is set amid a gorgeous garden, and a teahouse is adjacent. Pamukkale is most pleasant once the crowds of summer have departed, but temperatures have not yet plummeted. The travertines open from 6:30 AM to 8 PM every day in the summer. The entrance fee to the area is 110 TRY. We recommend flying to Antalya (AYT) Airport, which is 186.9 km away from Pamukkale. The bus via Antalya (AYT) from Antalya (AYT) to Pamukkale takes 3h 43m.

The Blue Mosque

The mosque is known as the Blue Mosque because of blue tiles surrounding the walls of interior design. The mosque closes for 90 minutes at each pray time. Avoid visiting a mosque at pray time. Place the fabric cover on top of your head with equal portions hanging on both sides. Since this is a place of worship, avoid staring or taking picture of those who are praying. Address: Sultan Ahmet, Atmeydanı Cd. No:7, 34122 Fatih/İstanbul, Turkey. There are 4 ways to get from Istanbul Airport (IST) to Sultan Ahmed Mosque by taxi, car, shuttle or towncar it will take it 34min and the distance is 34.4 km.

Mount Nemrut

The mountain summit entrance is about 43 kilometers north from Kahta and 70 kilometers northwest from Adiyaman. After hiking all the way to the summit, three different tumuli – east, north and west – welcome you. You must wake up and walk all the way up to witness the epic sunrise on the top of Mount Nemrut. The one thing that you should keep in mind is to bring warm clothes on your way to the summit as it is very cold before sunrise and after sunset, even in the middle of summer. Address: Nemrut Dağı Yolu, 02000 Kayadibi/Kâhta/Adıyaman, Turkey. It is open for 24 hours. There is no direct connection from Nearby airports to Mount Nemrut. However, you can take the shuttle to Kilis, take the walk to Kilis, take the bus to Islahiye, take the walk to İslahiye, take the train to Fevzipaşa, take the train to Kuşsarayı, then take the taxi to Mount Nemrut.
